Have you tried humming?
Try humming the happy bithday song…. Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, and so on.
At the end of humming the little song three times, count out as loud as you can manage, ONE. TWO, THREE, FOUR.
Then go back to humming the Happy birthday song a few more times.
Your voice should be restored within a few days.
This Guy himself need elocution lesson, from the very basics……………… and mouth transplant obviously too LOL

Hi, did you find a voice coach in London?
Rgds Vince - re Youtube video
Thanks Aubrey for that advice.
What a difference !
Good, I am really, really glad to hear that.
I hope you continue to get good results.
I think there should be more videos relevant to voice in regards to speech on youtube as there are very few indeed.
Thanks for letting me know it helped
Hey, that worked for me!
I had the same problem and the pinching-my-nose technique is working fine.
Thanks
does anybody know where i can get a one to one voice coach in london…. My voice is quite soft and i hate it…
Hi blissfullness93,
x
I am a voice teacher. One of the best ways to reduce the nasal quality in your voice is as follows:
Speak while pinching your nose shut and concentrate on sending the sound out of your mouth rather than up into the nose - you should aim to reduce the vibration you feel in your nose. Then once you can do that practice releasing the pinch, but keeping that same non-nasal quality.
Hope that helps.
damn. sucks to be chinese.
If your voice is naturally ‘nasally’, it’s either because you emphasize the nasal quality too much, or your vocal chords are naturally too rich sounding. Start by ’singing’ eee-uuu-eee-uuu, and try to focus on opening your throat when making the uuu sound. I’m inclined to think your Chinese heritage may be to blame and your doctor may be right. The chinese language is tone based and relies on strong nasal projection to ‘annunciate’, so the nasal emphasis may be a natural inheritance.
Hi, I have a nasally voice (maybe i was born with it) and i’m an australian born chinese so my english is pretty fluent, however, my voice sounds horrible! Is there any exercises to improve my voice or not to get that nasally sound? My doctor said i was probably born with it
Thanks
Hi, I did think of that originally but then there would have been 50% less content. I hope, that aside, you found it useful.
Regards Vince
Great advice and examples, but would have liked you to have left a space after each one for us to repeat ourselves.
Hi, thanks for your comment. I wish you good luck with your speaking… All the best - Vince
nice video i hope this helps me
Hi, there are literally hundreds of possibilities in vocal development. How often to practice? If you have the time and opportunity, ten minutes a day is good until you get confident with them. Then use different exercises to practice the thunder and the roar, the crackle and the whisper of the voice. Speaking is a skill, and like with any practical skill, improvement is made with practice. I could say much more but there’s a character count limit. Regards Vince
Thanks for sharing your experience. These voice exercises …how often should one practice? and do the exercises progressively grow in intensity?
